Mysore Pak

This is one of favorite sweet (Dessert) of South India, especially of Karnataka. It is heared that Mysore Pak came from Mysore Palace of of Karnataka where kings of that region used to stay.

Ingredients


- 1 cup Gram Flour
- 2 Cups of Sugar
- 1 Cup of Ghee
- 3 Cardamoms
- very little edible camphor (will be used to cerate essence)

Process

- Dry roast the gram flour to a little yellowish colour in medium high heat. Don't give too much heat.
- Make a syrup with sugar and water to one string consistency.
- Heat Ghee in a separate bowl.
- While stirring the sugar syrup, slowly add the gram flour.
- Add melted ghee while stirring. You have to add ghee in way until the whole mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
- Add cardamom powder and edible camphor.
- Take a plate and polish ghee in it. Pour in the hot mixture, spread and level the mixture.
- Let it cool for a while.
- Before it get cool completely you can cut this into diamond shaped pieces.
